Brussels Visit Kelly Takes His Campaign To Brussels – Sean Kelly To Visit Brussels To Discuss His Policy’s and To Raise Concerns Raised With Him Over The CampaignMonday April 20th: Sean Kelly is to visit Brussels today to raise various issues of concern that have been raised over the course of his campaign. Kelly will meet representatives of the IFA, Fisheries, IBEC as well as representatives of the Agricultural and Rural Development sectors, the trip will also include meetings with the EPP. Kelly hopes to raise his Community Development Initiative, and the need for a fairer interpretation and implementation of EU Regulations to ensure farmers, fishermen, and business can develop and grow.
Interpreting EU Regulations Poor Interpretation of EU Regulation Is Killing Our Economy, Partnership Is What We Need – Sean KellyMonday April 12th: Sean Kelly has called on the government to change the way it interprets and implements EU Regulations. Following a number of meetings with local and national IFA and Fisheries groups Kelly is calling on the government to develop a partnership system similar to the Social Partnership process that will allow interest groups a say in the interpretation our departments make of EU Regulations before they are implemented. This process would not need any additional staffing or funding as the personnel already exists within the relevant departments.
